You know that feeling when you’re just completely blown away by something?

Well, imagine if you will. You’re driving through winding forests, steaming past giant sequoia trees and snow-laden pavements. You come across a tunnel that breaks through the middle of the mountain; it’s pretty dark and long but after about a minute and a half you re-emerge on the other side and BAM. You’re faced with this view:

Pretty mean, hey?

This is exactly the view you’re treated to in Yosemite National Park. You’d be forgiven for thinking this mindbendingly astonishing place isn’t even real. Or the photos are over-edited and, if anything, do it too much justice. However, you can rest assured knowing that Yosemite, only a three-hour drive from San Fransisco, is basically natural heaven on earth. I’d even go as far to say that it’s in my top three favourite places in the world and, definitely, the most GORGEOUS place I have ever laid eyes on (bold statement, I know).

Here are some of my photographic highlights from our four days hiking, camping, smores-making, waterfall-chasing, and campfire appreciating in Yosemite National Park.
